DJVBC Tryout Registration

THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING DAYTON JUNIORS FOR THE 2025-26 CLUB SEASON

2025-26 Summer Tryouts (14s through 18s)

Registration for Summer Tryouts will open on June 1st @ 12:01am on our website.

NEW THIS YEAR

In order to minimize the number of athletes in the gym at any time AND to maximize the number of repetitions our coaches will be able to evaluate per athlete, we will be running tryouts in small groups of athletes.

  • You will register to attend a single 1-hour session within your age group.
  • Groups are limited to 10 athletes and are staggered to start every 15 minutes.
  • You must arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time and stay for the entire duration.
  • Athletes will rotate through sessions/courts covering all the major skills / gameplay in a practice-like environment.
  • Athletes will receive skill/play scores from master coaches on each court.
  • Team placement will follow the completion of ALL age level groups.

TRYOUTS on Saturday, 07/12

  • 16U: 8:30am-11:15am (1-hour increments)
  • 17U/18U: 10:30am-12:45am (1-hour increments)

TRYOUTS on Sunday, 07/13

  • 14U: 8:30am-11:15am (1-hour increments)
  • 15U: 10:30am-1:15pm (1-hour increments)

Makeup Tryouts:

There will be a second day of tryouts at the times listed below.  Registration (and a new ticket) is only necessary for athletes who did not attend the first day of tryouts.  Those who DID attend day one are invited to return for day two if they meet either of these conditions:

  • Player was offered on a team LOWER than the top team at our club.
  • Player was not yet offered a spot on any team at our club.

No Registration required. Open gyms are free for returning players and $3 cash ONLY for non-members.

What Age Level Am I?

SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THIS YEAR

All Dayton Juniors teams will be selected on a basis of  USAV "Age Level".  You should attend the tryout that matches the youngest Age level requirement met below.  Once the team is composed, the appropriate USAV skill level registration (National/American/Regional) will be chosen.

2025-26 Fee Payment Schedule

The club fee schedule is listed in the table below.  Upon accepting an offer to participate with our club, you will be sent a payment plan via SportsEngine to reflect the payment schedule below.  Successful completion of the payment plan is expected/required EVEN IF injury or other circumstances cause your athlete to miss one or more team functions - as each team incurs the full expense of your participation whether you are there or not.

Those accepting offers MUST submit a 50% deposit along with acceptance to reserve their position for the upcoming season.

During the season, on-time payment via the fee schedule is required to participate in team functions beyond each due date.

Auto-pay via CC can be set-up through SportsEngine or check payments can be mailed/dropped off at the practice facility.

In order to help you control your cost and only deliver equipment/apparel based on your specific needs, the Uniform Package will be sold separately and will require payment directly to our uniform vendor on date TBD.  Price is dependent upon individual needs for the upcoming season.  More details on the logistics of purchasing your uniform package will follow tryouts. Estimated prices are provided below and are yet to be finalized.
